About Us

Our company was founded in Hong Kong by pianist and music educator Tyler Lam Tsz Hin, with a mission to promote high-quality and creative music education. We offer distinctive group-based and private piano lessons, and collaborate with schools to provide piano programs for students of different ages, creating a comprehensive learning platform. Beyond lessons, we actively organize competitions and performance opportunities, giving students diverse stages to cultivate artistic refinement, performance confidence, and global vision.

The name Sonus Music Education carries a special meaning. Sonus originates from the Latin word for“sound,” symbolizing the essence of music itself. Beyond its linguistic roots, the name reflects connection: it can be read as “sound + us,” highlighting the idea that music is a shared journey between teachers, students, families, and the wider community. This interpretation emphasizes inclusivity — not limited by age, gender, or background — but rather the collective experience of learning and creating music together. Through this name, we express our vision of music education as a platform for artistry, cultural exchange, and human connection.
